MAJOR update :)

Here's what I've been up to the last few weeks. I've been really busy lately and just started lagging on updating this blog. Sorry!

So this is the final version of the silhouette project. I'm actually pretty proud of how it came out. I have to say, it took waayy longer than I thought it would take. But it was definitely worth it!

And here's an in class assignment we did. It supposed to be an abstract design that represents yourself. This is what I came up with.

And here's an update on the eye assignment:
1. brushstroke
2. pattern
3. chrome eye
4. 3d eye in sketchup
5. photo

so that's it for now! I'll be posting up more very soon!! :D

Here's a copy of my first project for my digital illustration class. We had to create a road sign for Shrek, so I came up with this design: (3 blind mice crossing) :D

Work in Progress

Eye study assignment:

stage #1: silhouette

Past works

Hi Everyone!

So here are a few examples of my past artworks:

Shopping Bag:
For my Typography B class, we were asked to create a shopping bag for a select company. I chose to create a shopping bag for Nordstrom, since its one of my favorite department stores. The goal was to use only text; I got the inspiration of using ribbon from a Dior ad I saw awhile back. I basically laid out the ribbon, photographed it, then edited it on Photoshop. I'm so happy with the final product!

CD Cover:
This is another project we had in Typography B. We had to create an album cover for jazz and r&b singer, Etta James.

Wine label:
This is a wine label that we had to create for again, Typography B. I wanted to make a wine label for a contemporary, inexpensive winery.

This is a painting that I did in my beginning painting class. We had to use a photo reference and paint what we saw. I chose a photo from again, a Dior ad, and painted it. It took forever to paint the fabric, but it was sooo worth it!

Lastly, this is one of my charcoal drawings from my life drawing class. We were given two class periods to complete this drawing and I'm very satisfied with how it turned out. Drawing realistic people isn't my forte, so I was really proud of this one! :D
